ON-AIR RADIO INTERVIEW WITH JASON PULLMAN & LISA FOXX

Star 98.7 FM

Los Angeles, California

Jason Pullman: "Star 98.7, Jason Pullman, Lisa Foxx..."

Lisa Foxx: "We're on the phone with Michael Landa, the Founder and President of The Pet Staff, the largest professional pet sitting company in Southern California, who is sponsoring a toy and food drive for homeless animals called "Operation Santa Paws". Welcome Michael. Please tell us more about what your company is doing this holiday."

The Pet Staff: "Essentially Operation Santa Paws is a toy and food drive that we are spearheading across greater Los Angeles, similar to a "Toys 4 Tots" program."

Jason Pullman: "You guys are tied in with the good people at Petco, right?"

The Pet Staff: "Absolutely. Petco is a huge contributor to the program this year as they are allowing us to place our donation boxes at all of their store locations. Basically what we're trying to do at this point is make a plea to all those pet lovers out there that have some time to be able to stop into a Petco and donate to this cause, all of the proceeds and goods of which will go towards helping homeless pets over the holidays."

Lisa Foxx: "At various shelters?"

The Pet Staff: "At a number of shelters across L.A. We're going to be working for example with The Amanda Foundation, Pet Orphans, Burbank Animal Shelter and L.A. Animal Services. There are over 4.5 million pets that went into shelters last year alone. It's a time of the year that we often get super busy and don't stop to think about these 'babies' in shelters that need lovin', too."

Lisa Foxx: "It's for dogs and cats too, right?"

The Pet Staff: "Definitely dogs and cats!"

Lisa Foxx: "Dogs and cats that are looking for toys and food and also kennel cleaning supplies, correct?"

The Pet Staff: "Yes. Non-perishables are important such as unopened dry food, canned food, litter, treats, towels. The shelters are particularly tight this year and any help the public can offer in terms of providing some of these items would be really appreciated. People can go to our web site, ThePetStaff.com for more information. There's an Operations Santa Paws icon you can click on to find your nearest Petco store location to drop off your donation."

Jason Pullman: "ThePetStaff.com for all the links and exact locations."

Lisa Foxx: "Also, I'm running down the list here...dog and cat shampoo, dry puppy food, cat toys, water bowls, heating pads and blankets."

The Pet Staff: "Yes. Even supplies such as aprons, smocks, trash bags, mops, etc. These are things that are really helpful to the shelter facilities right now - many of them are really in need of those types of supplies."

Jason Pullman: "What about people that want to give pets as Christmas gifts?"

The Pet Staff: "Well, you heard me say earlier that approximately 4.5 million pets went into shelters this year...I would definitely encourage responsible people to visit their local shelter and look for that Christmas 'baby' in that shelter because there's plenty of very lovable pets out there just waiting to meet the right family during the holidays."

Lisa Foxx: "And rescues are so especially sweet and grateful...it's just a weird thing how they seem to know..."

The Pet Staff: "And how about all of the volunteers and people that are trying to help these pets get adopted? Caring for, fostering pets.it just really makes them feel great when a pet gets placed with a loving family. We'd love to see more of that this holiday."

Jason Pullman: "Well, thank you so much for what The Pet Staff does to help these pets! Now remember, you can go to ThePetStaff.com for more information about Operation Santa Paws and how you can help."

Lisa Foxx: "Happy Holidays, Pet Staff...thank you for all that you do!!"
